CBA joins forces with Myer to launch rewards scheme

By Mozo ·

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) credit card customers will soon be able to redeem their reward points at Myer stores.

The bank has joined forces with the retail giant in order to offer Aussies the chance to purchase items using their loyalty bonuses.

CBA chiefs described the initiative as a "department store first" and it will benefit more than 1.3 million Commonwealth Awards customers.

"This is another great example of our commitment to making Awards points redemption more rewarding, delivering greater value and enhanced benefits for Commonwealth Bank customers," commented CBA's general manager of credit cards David Singh.

The scheme will be up and running across Myer's network of 68 Australian stores from November 23rd.

CBA has introduced a number of new initiatives to boost customer satisfaction of late.

Last month, it announced plans to upgrade 3,500 ATMs, with the new-look machines allowing customers to deposit cash or cheques 24 hours a day. The money would then be added to their account balance in real-time.
