The Citi Simplicity Card has all the features you'd expect in a good credit card without the high price tag. There is no annual fee and the convenience of worldwide acceptance with MasterCard and MasterCard PayPass.
With the Citi Simplicity Card, there's a generous 55 interest free days if you pay your balance off in full each month and you'll pay no fees on the card ever, this includes annual fees, late payment and there are no fees if you want to have an additional card holder for the account.
The Citi Simplicity credit card can be used in Australia and around the world where ever MasterCard is accepted. If you use your card overseas or when shopping online there is a 3.40% foreign exchange margin that will be added to the Australian dollar amount, so be sure to factor this in to your budgeting.
While there isn't a rewards program attached to the Citi Simplicity card you do get some great perks including Transit Accident Insurance, Purchase Cover Insurance, Extended Warranty Insurance and Guaranteed Pricing Scheme.
Anyone who hates paying fees for credit card features they'll never use and will be diligent at paying off their balance in full at the end of the month to avoid paying interest.
Even though Citi won't charge you if your late paying your balance, it is still a good idea to automate payments. New credit reporting means that all late payments are marked on your credit file and it can affect your ability to get credit into the future so don't make it a regular habit.
