Want to be rewarded for your shopping? Then snag a credit card from Myer and make it happen! The VISA card is a mid range option as far as affordability goes, but it offers real value for money with its dedicated rewards scheme. So if you’re a loyal Myer shopper, the rewards points from this credit card could be well worth the hefty interest rate:

After you’ve hit the shops and racked up a balance on your Myer credit card, you’ll have a leisurely 62 days to pay it off before being hit with interest. Keep in mind though, that these days start at the beginning of your credit card statement cycle, not when you make the purchase. So if you go on a shopping spree 30 days into your statement cycle, you’ll actually only have 32 interest free days to pay that balance off.
Fees that might apply to your Myer credit card include:
The annual fee
An annual fee for any additional cardholders
Cash advance fee
International transaction fee
International cash access fee
International over the counter transaction fee
Account service fee - for every month your credit card account carries a balance
Special promotion fee - applies when you make a purchase on a special promotion, unless stated otherwise
Want to find out how to dodge the credit card fees? Check out our guide and pay less.
Each month your credit card statement will show the minimum payment you need to make on your credit card. It will be the greater amount of either $25 or 3% of your total closing balance, plus any overdue payments or over limit amounts.
A good way to make sure you’re hitting at least those minimum payments each month is to set up a direct debit payment. You can fill out a form to sign up for direct debits on the Myer website - but remember, to avoid paying interest, you should pay off your whole balance each month, not just the minimum.
When you spend on your Myer Visa card, you’ll earn Myer one points. Every $1 you spend at Myer will get you a generous 3 Myer points, while shopping at Myer affiliates will earn you up to 3 points, depending where you shop. For spends anywhere else, you’ll earn 1 Myer point per $1.
To make sure you’re getting the most bang for your rewards buck and earn the full 3 Myer points, remember to use your Myer Visa card and Myer one card together.
Points are capped at 2,000 each month, but never expire. And if you’re sick of trawling through rewards program catalogues, we’ve got good news - once you hit 2,000 points, they’ll automatically be redeemed for a $20 Myer gift card. While this is perfect if you like to shop at Myer regularly, it does make saving up for bigger rewards a little tricky!
Other perks that come with your Myer credit card include:
VIP shopping events
A free copy of Emporium magazine when you make a purchase
Exclusive member offers
You can use your Myer credit card for a balance transfer on amounts over $100, up to the limit of your credit. Here are some things to keep in mind about your balance transfer:
While you have a transferred balance to pay off, your interest free days won’t apply to any new purchases
You don’t earn rewards points on your transferred balance
You need to continue making payments on your old credit card, until you’re notified that the balance transfer has been completed. Otherwise, you may find yourself hit with a bunch of last minute fees
A balance transfer will raise the closing balance on your Myer credit card - which means your monthly minimum repayments will go up as well
Yep! Your Myer credit card isn’t only made for you to shop in Myer stores. Because it works on the VISA network, you can use it all over the world wherever VISA is accepted.
Just remember when you plan your holiday budget to keep one eye on international transaction and access fees, and another on foreign exchange rates!
PayWave is a VISA scheme, so you can use your Myer Visa card to make contactless payments under $100.
While you’re off on a shopping trip, the last thing you want to be thinking about is credit card fraud. So, to keep your money and personal details safe while you use your Myer credit card, there are a few security measures in place. These include:
Verified by Visa - available on all Visa cards, this is a system designed to keep you safe while you shop online by verifying your purchases in real time
Money back guarantee - if you do become the victim of credit card fraud, you won’t be held responsible for any unauthorised transactions made on your credit card account
Falcon card monitoring - your Myer credit card is monitored 24/7 for unusual activity, so that if something fishy is going on, you can be contacted and it can be set straight as soon as possible
Mozo users have rated Myer credit cards on price, features, convenience, trust and customer service so you can see what real Aussies have to say about their experiences.

The rewards for this card actually add up. I receive more in benefits and rewards cards than the annual fees, so as long as I pay it off I am well ahead.

Easy online use and account updated instantly. Can pay account in-store, last minute, if necessary. Fantastic rewards program, both earning and redeeming. Rather high credit interest rate and impersonal phone service.
