Aussies lead the way in online retailing
Aussies are leading the way when it comes to finding new ways to boost their retail experience, with many preferring to utilise different forms of technology to make the process far more efficient.
It is clear that the increasing use of credit and debit cards is making it far easier for people to buy products without leaving the comfort of their own home and Aussies seemingly cannot get enough of online shopping.
A new study released by IBM showed that 40 per cent of Aussies would use websites to compare the cheapest prices available on specific goods, while 90 per cent believe social networks help them save time when purchasing items via the internet.
The research also indicated that 17 per cent of Australians would like to use more than three different types of technology in order to make shopping less strenuous.
"It should come as no surprise to retailers that digital technologies and the web are impacting the industry in a major way," commented IBM's retail and consumer products industry lead Ian Wong.
