Aussies will continue to embrace online retailing, CBA says

Online retailing has changed the shopping habits of plenty of people down under and one of the country's major banks is predicting the concept to become even more popular in years to come.

Searching for clothes, gadgets or even food is so much easier from the comfort of your own home and Aussies can use their debit cards to pay for items safe in the knowledge that reputable retailers have extremely secure websites.

According to the Commonwealth Bank (CBA), the number of people buying goods via the internet grew by 36 per cent last year.

Bosses at the bank believe this number will increase sharply in the next three to four years, as more Aussies recognise the benefits of online retailing.

They suggested that levels of customer service are improving all the time for internet shoppers and this is boosting people's confidence in ecommerce.

One of the main benefits of buying products online is that you can source items from all over the world, so it is easy to come across bargains.
