Bank of Queensland launches fee-free transaction account
Article by Mozo
A new offering from the Bank of Queensland (BOQ) may tempt Aussies to go online to compare debit cards.
The financial institution's Day2Day Plus account charges no monthly fees and enables users to conduct an unlimited number of free transactions.
Customers who open one of the accounts before April 30th are also eligible for a special offer in the form of a term deposit.
Debit card users will be able to withdraw funds from their bank from more than 3,500 ATMs that are part of the rediATM network, which the BOQ observed is one of the largest in the country.
Those who open an account will receive a Visa debit card, which can be used anywhere where Visa is accepted.
This comes after figures from the Westpac-Melbourne Institute Index of Consumer Sentiment revealed that spending in the country is starting to pick up.
Clothing, footwear, books and eating out all saw an increase in the level of spending in April compared to the preceding month.
