The energy retailers you need to know about

They say too many cooks in the kitchen can spoil the broth, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for the energy market. In fact, it’s preferred. 

According to many experts, like Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Chair, Rod Sims, welcoming more retailers into the market stimulates competition and can drive down energy prices. 

Over the last few years, the country has welcomed some new faces to the energy market, four of which have gone on to become 2020 Mozo Experts Choice Energy Award winners. 

But who are these new retailers and why have they caught the eyes of our expert judges? Find out below! 

ReAmped Energy

Elysian Energy are the proud owners of two 2020 Mozo Experts Choice Awards and also walked away with the title of 2020 Mozo Experts Choice Victorian Electricity Retailer of the Year.

Powerclub

With Powerclub, there are no confusing discounts or incentives, just great electricity rates and minimal fees. 

For this years awards, Powerclub received a massive 10 Mozo Experts Choice Awards, with majority of the awards collected in the small business categories, plus the prestigious title of 2020 Small Business Electricity Retailer of the Year!

The retailer promises that any excess profit generated will be either given back to members or invested into the business - you don’t see that very often,” said Mozo energy expert, Nathan Warne.

While Click Energy aren’t necessarily new to the energy scene, they’re certainly a retailer to keep your eye on. They’re also 100% online and were in fact, the first retailer to do so!
