DC Power Co is so confident you’ll save by switching that if you don’t save money on electricity in your first year with them, compared to your previous provider, they’ll credit you the difference plus 10%.

Manage your electricity account online through DC Power Co’s website, which gives you access to information on your usage as well as the ability to update your personal details. You can even get an SMS alert if your system’s export is unusual. Plus, every month you’ll be emailed your account review with how much power you’ve used (over your account review period) and the cost, your solar feed-in, your meter reads, your carbon offset and whether or not you still have anything to pay on your account.

Switching your electricity plan with DC Power Co is a simple process that could take as little as 5 minutes. You can go online and enter your postcode to find out how much you could save and then fill out their form with your details. Switching to DC Power Co just involves the transfer of information, so they won’t be touching any equipment affecting your supply. The terms of the plan depend on the area you’re located in, for example if you’re located in New South Wales you’ll need two business days’ notice to connect your power. In Victoria most people have smart meters which means they can be remotely connected on the same day.
