Discover Energy’s electricity plans are only available for NSW households.
With Discover Energy, both Aussie households and businesses will be able to sign up to an electricity plan. Residential electricity plans come in two types: the Basic and Economic Saver offers. The Basic electricity plan is a no fuss default offer and the Economic Saver is available in all three NSW distribution zones (Endeavour, Essential and Ausgrid).
All three electricity plans come with no exit fees or lock in contracts, so you’re free to leave at any time. And with the Economic Saver plan, there’s a 5% pay on time discount, plus a 15% guarantee discount, which is a non conditional discount applied to your electricity bill.
Thanks to the Discover Energy Insight app, customers will be able to manage their electricity through the ease of their phones, pay their electricity bills and track which appliances in their homes are using the most electricity and are contributing to their bills.
There are no lock in contracts or exit fees with any Discover Energy electricity plans, so there’s no dramas if it’s not the right fit for your household.

Discover Energy get how stressful it can be to move house, which is why they’ve made reconnecting your electricity super easy. Existing Discover Energy customers will need to ‘book their move’ online and organise a day where the electricity will be transferred to their new address. And if you’re a new customer interested in signing up to Discover Energy before you move in, simply provide your moving date and the electricity plan you want connected.
Just keep in mind that you will need to do this at least five business days in advance. Discover Energy also offer a power on guarantee where if you book your move before 1pm during Monday to Friday, your home will have its electricity connected on the next business day.
