Simply Energy provides electricity plans to residential and business customers in Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales. If you’re looking for a dual fuel service, Simply Energy gas service is only available in Victoria and South Australia.

Simply Energy electricity plans and packages

As a Simply Energy customer, you’ll have access to competitive tariffs and discounts depending on which state you live in and the electricity plan you choose. Most Simply Energy electricity plans offer guaranteed discounts when you pay your bill via direct debit and opt to receive your electricity bills by email. Some plans have early termination fees so be sure to take this into consideration before locking in any fixed term.

Plus, Simply Energy also offers energy plans that are exclusively available to members of its partner organisations in your state including RACV, NRMA, Hawks and South Sydney Rabbitohs. As well as discounts on your electricity bill, these plans have additional benefits such as bonus gifts and vouchers.

Renewable energy

If you’re looking for an environmentally-friendly electricity choice, Simply Energy electricity plans also offer a GreenPower option. When you choose GreenPower, Simply Energy will purchase a selected amount of renewable electricity and add it to the national electricity grid on your behalf.

Energy efficiency solutions

Simply Energy also offers a range of energy efficiency products such as rooftop solar power systems and LED lighting to help you cut back your household’s greenhouse gas emissions as well as save on your electricity bill.

Flexible payment options

Simply Energy offers an extensive range of payment options for you to choose from. If you prefer an online payment method, you can pay your electricity bill via direct debit, BPAY or credit card. Alternatively, you can mail a cheque to Simply Energy or pay in person at your local post office. You can keep on top of your electricity bills by activating your free MyPost Digital Mailbox which notifies you every time your bill is issued so you never miss a payment.

Billing in instalments

If you don’t like piling up your electricity costs over an entire quarter, Simply Energy provides the option to make your payments in instalments up until the due date of your electricity bill.

Manage your account online

If you’re digitally savvy, you can manage your customer account with Simply Energy completely online. With a digital account, you can do everything at your own convenience whether it’s checking your electricity bill or updating your customer details. Plus, setting up your online account is easy - you’ll just need to provide your customer number, name and postcode.

Concession schemes

Simply Energy offers a variety of concessions and rebates to customers with special circumstances (such as a medical condition). If you need any further information or assistance to apply for a concession, you can call up Simply Energy’s customer support team.

Switching and moving with Simply Energy

Switching

If you want to switch to Simply Energy electricity services, you can do so in four easy steps:

  1. Select an energy plan online
  2. Choose a bill payment option (i.e. manual payment, direct debit etc.)
  3. Select your energy type (i.e. electricity, gas, or both)
  4. Confirm

You may also need to provide additional information if you have solar panels or a feed in meter and if you’re on a Flexible Pricing Tariff.

Moving

If you’re an existing customer of Simply Energy, you can arrange to have your energy services transferred to your new residence in just a matter of minutes. You will need to call up Simply Energy’s relocation team at least three business days before you move out.

For new customers the process of setting up your new electricity account is just as easy but you’ll also need to allow for a couple of days to get your connection sorted out - so don’t leave it to the last minute.

    OK, think all energy providers are the same.

    Can be very difficult to deal with when something goes wrong. You call them and they tell you it’s fixed but it never is and you have to call them back the next month and start all over again.

    Simply Energy and simply done.

    I have changed energy providers several times over the last 10 years and it seemed once you were a customer the charges steady moved up. With Simply Energy I saved $700.00 on my first full quarter and a year later there is no upward movement in my charges.
