Belong NBN plans

With month-by-month options and affordable, easy to understand plans, Belong is certainly one of the more attractive NBN providers around. And our team of in-house experts thought so too. Having racked up an impressive 7 Mozo Experts Choice Awards across its three offerings, more than any other provider, it’s only fitting that we named Belong our NBN Provider of the Year 2019.

About Belong

Belong is a division of Telstra, making it a good pick for anyone who wants the security of doing business with a big telco but isn’t particularly fond of their prices. It specialises in both ADSL and NBN, but unlike other providers, you won’t find any mention of peak or evening speeds. Instead, Belong lists the typical speeds on each plan so you know exactly what to expect.

When it comes to signing up, you can choose a 12 month contract, in which case your modem and standard activation will be free, or your can opt for a no contract option, which will cost only $5 extra per month (though you will have to pay $60 for the modem). You’ll get unlimited data regardless of the NBN plan you choose.

“With a range of simple plans and some of the most competitive prices on the market, Belong outperformed all other providers by quite a large margin,” said Mozo Data Services Director AJ Duncanson.

Belong award-winning NBN plans

Starter

Won a Mozo Experts Choice Award for:

  • Unlimited Standard Plus NBN Contract
  • Standard Plus NBN Contract
  • Unlimited Standard Plus NBN No Lock-in
  • Standard Plus NBN No Lock-in

For those who are happy with basic internet, the Belong Starter option is a good pick. This plan gives you speeds of 30 Mbps, instead of the usual 25 or 50 Mbps, meaning that even with Belong’s basic plan you’ll still be getting speeds at the Standard Plus level. And as with all Belong NBN plans, you’ll get unlimited data, which should be appreciated by large households or ones with several devices.

While it’s good for basic internet browsing, online gaming, and video streaming, if you’re planning on streaming from multiple devices in HD, you’d be better off looking at another plan instead.

Standard Plus

Won a Mozo Experts Choice Award for:

  • Unlimited Standard Plus NBN Contract

If your household consists of 3 to 6 people who are all fairly active internet users, the Standard Plus option would be a good fit. It allows for HD video streaming and uploading and downloading of large files on top of your usual internet browsing. If you sign up for a 12 month contract, you’ll pay $65 per month. That bumps up to $70 if you decide on a no contract plan.

Premium

Won a Mozo Experts Choice Award for:

  • Unlimited Premium NBN Contract
  • Premium NBN Contract

The Belong Premium NBN plan is available for $90 per month if you opt for the 12 month contract and $95 if you decide on a no contract plan. As for speeds, you’ll get a generous 90 Mbps, which would suit large households of heavy internet users, particularly if they use multiple devices between them. If you’re big on online gaming, regularly upload or download large files, or like your video streaming to be the best possible quality, this is the plan you should be looking at.

How to sign up with Belong
