Good opportunities for buyers on the Gold Coast this Spring

Research from Aussie showed few Gold Coast properties sold over the last year at their advertised price, resulting in good opportunities for prospective buyers this Spring property season.

Most property on the Gold Coast selling below listed prices

The Aussie/RP Data Property Discounting Report highlighted the top suburbs that sold below their listed price included Jacobs Well, Lower Beechmont and Guanaba for houses, and Main Beach, Tallai and Bilinga for units.

By comparison, the top suburbs that sold above their listed price included Mudgeeraba, Varsity Lakes and Palm Beach for houses, and Pimpama, Bonogin and Maudsland for apartments.

Aussie Chairman John Symond said while most property on the Gold Coast sold below listed prices, this is consistent with state and national figures. “The report showed buyers are in a good position on the Gold Coast to negotiate to buy a house or apartment at a good price.”

“While most buyers are in a good position to negotiate a good price, it’s important to go into any property search knowing your budget and the market. You can do this by getting your mortgage pre-approval sorted so you know your spending limit, and by looking at recent sales of properties in the areas you’re hoping to buy,” said Symond.
