Real estate agents adopt new tricks
Home loan customers in Australia could be among those to notice a new wave of tricks being employed by real estate agents.
According to news provider news.com.au, agents have ditched traditional methods like baking bread and brewing coffee just before holding an open house viewing.
The website claimed that agents are now using more advanced techniques such as music video clips, iPhone apps and Facebook pages to drum up interest in available properties.
George Hadgelias, of Ray White Paddington in Brisbane, told the news provider: "If we are marketing a property with a home theatre or media room we will have live concert videos playing during our opens.
Many homes on our listings can be viewed via an online video tour," he added.
Potential homeowners can now also access information on properties via their iPhone by using apps such as that offered by LJ Hooker, which allows people to view property listings and photo galleries using their mobile devices.
