Real estate agents use hypnosis to close property deals
A hypnosis expert is training real estate agents in the art of persuasion.
Brisbane-based Glenn Twiddle, a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, has been training property sellers about how to use "advanced language skills" and "hypnotic principles" to encourage potential buyers to sign on the dotted line, the Courier-Mail reported.
"It’s more along the lines of choosing your words carefully in a way that compels someone that, if they were so inclined, they might take action or it might just increase your odds of someone agreeing with a proposition you might have," he told the newspaper.
Mr Twiddle added that buyers must already be considering the purchase, insisting no one can use hypnosis to make someone do something they don’t want to.
He claimed that of all the real estate agents in Queensland, there are probably only about 50 at the most who use the practice by design.
