What’s not to love about a contents insurance policy that offers new for old replacement for your possessions, a no-cost monthly payment option, and an extra 25% of the sum insured if you undervalue your belongings among a number of other great additional benefits? Not much, which is why the CBA Contents Insurance policy by Hollard is certainly an offer worth looking at. Plus, CBA won a 2023 Mozo Experts Choice Award for this policy in the Exceptional Quality Landlord Insurance category.
When it comes to offering protection for your valuables, the CBA Contents Insurance policy by Hollard will provide cover for household cash (up to $500) that is stolen or destroyed in an insured event, up to $1,000 in spare car parts, $750 for any food and medication that goes bad if your fridges motor burns out, and up to 25% sum insured for your jewellery.
Contents insurance by Hollard will also insure your contents against an extensive range of events including flood damage (not usually automatically offered), fires, fallen trees and even against accidental glass breakage. For an additional premium you’ll even be able to take out accidental loss and damage cover as an optional extra.
CBA’s Contents Insurance policy by Hollard also comes with additional benefits to make life easier should you be impacted by an insured event, including new for old replacement for the majority of your possessions, alternative accommodation costs for your family and pets for up to 12 months after an event, and even up to $2,000 cover for any of your guests' property.
And unlike many insurance companies, Commonwealth Bank doesn’t charge an extra fee for paying your premium as monthly instalments.
Providing both great value for money and a range of quality standard and additional features, CBA Contents Insurance by Hollard could be the right option for anyone looking to get the best possible protection for their valuables.
CBA Home Insurance by Hollard may provide your contents with cover from a large number of possible events, but damage from a storm surge (when a large wave or waves are created by a storm) is not included in the policy.

Put in a claim for a lightning strike which blew most of our TV's and accessory devices. Sent the reports in from the electrical shop and received a letter on the 6th of May to say the claim was accepted. It's now late July and I haven't heard anything about this claim since. Did get to speak to a claims person on the 20th June who said it could be finalised in 10 mins - that's now 5 weeks ago. Why does a 10-minute task take 5 weeks? I know there's been persons far worse off than us with flooding; etc. but my patience has slowly evaporated.

I like this insurer, as I already bank with them so it makes it easier, but I did find it difficult to make changes when we moved house.

My experience when I had to make any claim could not be faulted. Customer service arranged for a firm to come to and fix the problems, they (Comminsure) tended to all the other claims against me. The people that came were absolutely excellent, they tended to all the damage, took photos and sent them to the insurance company. They paid the claim by check and I arranged the repairs. They would have done them all but it suited me to have a cash settlement.

They have a cheaper policy than Vero, who I was with before.
