Quality Care Residential
Westpac Premier Care Residential is a policy that has your contents covered. Along with having new for old replacement for your belongings, underinsurance protection is also available just in case your items are not insured to their correct value. If you’re choosing to apply online, you’ll receive a 15% online discount and with a good claims history, you could also be looking at getting a no claims bonus.
Westpac Premier Care Residential will protect your contents in a range of circumstances. You won’t ever need to worry if your contents are damaged by any of 16 insured events that range from natural disasters like fires and floods to accidental damage and even fusion.
You might also be happy to know that Westpac Premier Care Residential will also provide cover for veterinary expenses and temporary accommodation for both your and your pet if you ever need to temporarily move out of home. And don’t worry if you do ever need to move house, as Westpac Premier Care Residential will cover your contents while you do.
When it comes to protecting your contents, you can rest easy knowing nearly all of your standard household items will be covered. Things like electronic files, cameras and their accessories, antiques and other valuable items like jewellery are all covered. Important documents like your birth and marriage certificates are also covered along with your trade tools and any personal medical equipment you may have.
But no policy can cover everything so you need to know that Westpac Premier Care Residential does not provide cover for uncut gems, identity theft, inventory, lock replacements or any demolition costs and temporary repairs.
Westpac Premier Care Residential is a good choice for anyone who’s after a level of cover of the highest standard for their belongings and isn’t so concerned with the price tag.
As with any insurance policy, you should be aware of the limits on certain valuable items. For example, you will only receive up to $3,000 for trade tools, which may leave you out of pocket if these are expensive tools that now need to be replaced.
In this case, it’s recommended to list these items separately with your policy in order to get a higher standard of cover.
