Good2Go travel insurance policies

At Good2Go, you can choose from a single trip or multi-trip annual policy. It’s a little less flexible than some other travel insurance options, as there’s only one level of cover, which you can take out as a single traveller or a family. You can also choose from optional additions, like extra rental vehicle cover, removing excess and extra cover for valuable personal items. Check out the policy options in our handy table below:

What should I know about Good2Go travel insurance policies?

What your policy covers

Because there’s only one level of cover, you should be mostly covered for all the same benefits under any Good2Go travel insurance policy, although the limit on your benefits may change depending on whether you choose a single or family policy type. Here are some of the categories you can expect cover for under your Good2Go policy:

What pre-existing medical conditions are covered

Good2Go travel insurance policies don’t cover pre-existing medical conditions, except for 20 such conditions which are listed in your PDS as automatically covered. Keep in mind, though, that some provisions do apply to these conditions, for example, asthma is automatically covered, as long as you haven’t had an attack in the last 12 months that was bad enough to need a trip to the hospital.
If you’re travelling with a pre-existing medical condition that doesn’t appear on the list, you can apply for cover by completing a medical assessment over the phone. You may have to pay an extra premium to cover your condition in this case.

Travel insurance for seniors

Travellers aged up to 69 years can take out a regular Good2Go travel insurance policy. But if you’re older and wiser, aged 70 - 84, you can check out Good2Go’s seniors travel insurance plans. Just keep in mind that the older you are, the higher your premium will be.
For those 85 or older looking for travel insurance, you’ll need to fill out a mature age assessment when you apply for cover with Good2Go. Before you go ahead, check out our guide on travel insurance for over 55’s to make sure you’re getting the best possible deal.

Travelling with children

Family vacations can be a heap of fun - until something goes wrong. To take some of the stress out of it, Good2Go will cover dependent children under either a single, family or multi-annual travel insurance policy for no extra charge. If you’re thinking of taking up this great deal, it’s important to be clear about who can count as a dependent. To be eligible, your children will need to be:

What limits apply to the multi-trip policy

Got a serious case of the travel bug? A multi-trip policy might be just the remedy you need.
Generally, the same rules apply to your multi-trip policy as to a single travel insurance policy. But here are a few extra details to keep in mind:

Cancelling your Good2Go cover

If you get cold feet you have a cooling off period of 14 days in which you can cancel your travel insurance policy with Good2Go for a full refund of your premium, as long as you haven’t started your trip or made a claim on your policy.

Good2Go travel insurance policies: the fine print

So we’ve covered the big things, but what about all the little details and fine print you need to know? Well, we’ve got that too.

Knowing the fine print and exclusions of your policy is really important, because these are the things that might trip you up when you go to make a claim. For example, did you know that your travel insurance policy doesn’t cover natural disasters or bad weather?

Here are some details to keep in mind about your Good2Go travel insurance policy:

How do I make a claim with Good2Go travel insurance?

We hope you don’t have to make a claim on your travel insurance policy. But if you do, it helps to know how the process works so you don’t have to stress about that on top of everything else. Here are a few tips for when you make your Good2Go travel insurance claim:

Well priced, peace of mind

Well priced and covered all of the essentials. Some insurance companies are very expensive but this was certainly reasonable.
