Thanks to the shift by supermarkets to offer online services, wrestling with broken shopping trolleys, crowded isles and long checkout queues are now a thing of the past for those that want to skip the trip to the store.
“The covid pandemic really accelerated the growth of online grocery shopping and now Australians are spoiled for choice when it comes to product range choice, delivery options, and which supermarket to shop at,” said Peter Marshall, Mozo Experts Choice Awards adjudicator. “This is an area that we really expect to grow throughout 2022 as supermarkets continue to invest in improving the online shopping experience and delivery options available to customers.”
Woolworths online is organised just like the physical store. You can purchase fresh produce, dairy, meat and deli, pantry staples as well as health and beauty products. Just like your local woollies you’ll be able to shop from well-known brands or select Woolworths own brands and Specials. You can leave notes for your personal shopper against any item (only small bananas please) and there is flexibility to make changes to your order up to a specified time. There are a range of delivery options available from direct to boot, delivery in under two hours to standard delivery. The cost of delivery will depend on the time and day selected.
Online orders can earn rewards points as part of the Woolworths Everyday Rewards program. The program is free to join and for every $1 spent, members earn 1 point, which can either be redeemed for money off a future shop or converted to Qantas points (terms and conditions apply).
This is the third year in a row that Woolworths has been named as a winner in the Mozo People’s Choice Awards for its online grocery service.
