Have been with Hunter United since I arrived in Australia wouldn't trade it for any other.
I love Hunter United Credit Union, the staff are friendly and always willing to help, internet banking is trustworthy and fast. The fees are minimal and they do all your banking for you, you simply have to set it up. Only downfall is there are not enough branches and I have to travel to another town to visit the bank. Though most things can be done online, sometimes you must go to branch.
This banking institution will give the ordinary person a chance to prove their worth when times are tough.
The account number is short and easy to remember, the ATM card is a debit card so I can use it online they are willing to loan to pensioners and low income earners, their interest rates are competitive, they have computers in the branches where you can do online banking and the staff are always helpful no matter what branch you're at, they have a drive through teller (I really love this), you can use Westpac ATMs for free. The only thing I don't like is their fees can be a little steep.
Hunter United has always had high fees when using different ATMs, hidden transaction fees and dishonour fees, never able to get a small loan unless perfest credit rating, don't want to help when the times get tough financially, very strict on borrowing, not many ATMs around in usual busy areas, not the bank you would be proud to say you were with.
