Your Regional Australia Bank Credit Card comes with an interest free period of 55 days. That means you have up to 55 days to pay off your credit card balance before being charged interest, depending on when in your statement cycle you make your purchases. For example, if you buy a new T.V at the beginning of the cycle, you’ll have the full 55 days to pay it off. If you were to then buy a new laptop 25 days into your cycle, you would only have 30 days to pay that purchase off before it begins to attract interest.
Fees that you could be charged on your credit card include:
The annual fee
Foreign exchange fees
Cash advance fees
Late payment fees
Transaction verification fees
With the exception of the annual fee, you might be able to avoid paying all of the above if you use your credit card carefully.
The minimum payment you have to make on your Regional Australia Bank credit card each month is the greater of either $20 or 2.5% of your total balance, unless your balance is below $20, in which case you’ll have to pay it all.
But keep in mind that that’s just the minimum - you can choose to pay off more than that, and paying off your whole credit card bill each time is a great way to avoid fees, interest and penalties.
You can, but the Regional Australia Bank credit card doesn’t come with a 0% interest period like many other balance transfer cards do. So although you’ll be able to transfer existing credit card balances onto this card and pay the low interest rate, you won’t get the usual 6-12 months interest free that you might with another balance transfer.

Although credit cards are a convenient way to spend, and are more secure now than ever, you should still be aware of the risk of credit card fraud. Here are some quick tips for keeping your money and credit card safe and secure:
Monitor your credit card statements for unusual activity or transactions you don’t remember making. The quicker you can identify fraudulent activity on your credit card, the sooner Regional Australia Bank will be able to resolve the issue.
Try not to use public Wifi for online banking or shopping. Fraudsters can set up their own Wifi networks to lure users into giving up their details.
When paying with your credit card, don’t let it out of your sight. Shop assistants shouldn’t need to take your card into another room or even beneath their counter. All transactions should be done in clear view, so you know your details aren’t being written down for misuse later.
