Australia 'is one of the best places to live'
We may moan about the high cost of living, but the fact remains that there are far worse places to reside than Australia.
Outsiders certainly envy our lifestyle and economic prosperity, it seems.
According to property investor Brett Alegre-Wood, people down under tend to have a less hectic way of life.
He said that one of the big differences between living in the UK and Australia is the amount of space homeowners get. While Britain is renowned for being a "rat race", Australia is much more spread out.
"When you do get into [the lifestyle], it is fantastic. It is probably one of the best places to live," Mr Alegre-Wood commented.
However, he conceded that it costs a lot more to live in Australia and anybody considering relocating would have to have plenty of cash stashed away in their savings accounts.
In fact, a new cost of living survey conducted by Mercer revealed that Sydney and Melbourne are among the least affordable cities in the world.
