Banking on bad attitudes with the Big Four

Aussies can always trust the Big Four to offer poor customer service, according to The Daily contributor Ashley Robinson.

Writing for the site, he explained that he has had multiple experience of the lack of customer care evident with the big banks, with one trip abroad leaving him particularly piqued.

While visiting the US, he contacted his bank to extend the limit on his credit card so that he could buy a new set of clubs.

After the bank told him it would take three days to clear the credit extension – despite his strong history with the institution – he decided he’d had enough.

"I couldn’t sit in the golf pro shop for three days waiting when I got home I cancelled my account. I have never had a savings account with any of the big four since," he commented.

According to AAP, consumers are turning to the net to express their anger about shoddy customer service offered by Australia’s major lenders.
