The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has this week launched a new-look website to give its customers more choice when managing their bank accounts online.

Ross McEwan, the bank’s head of retail, said that the new website had proved popular in a trial involving 10,000 customers and added that he was proud to roll out the service to all of the bank’s clients.

He said that the new site has been designed with functionality and choice at the top of the agenda.

This may make it simpler for people to pay off their credit cards, make home loan payments or transfer money to a savings account.

Among the new design features is a statement which makes it clearer when future payments are coming out customers’ bank accounts, allowing them to ensure they’ve got the cash to cover them.

In March, the bank also launched a new service that allows customers to pay bills and check balances, in addition to transferring money to a saving account, using a new mobile banking service.
