The Beyond Bank monEsaver Internet Savings Account has no monthly account keeping fees, no minimum deposit fee and a base interest rate of 2.60% p.a for balances between $5,000 and $199,999. Those who are keen to maintain a balance over $200,000, can benefit from a 2.85% p.a. interest rate. The news is not so good if your balance falls under the $5,000, because the rate drops down to a measly 2.30% p.a.
Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly into the account. Any transactions made electronically are free, just watch out for the $4 transaction fee if you use any other method other than your online account.
The Beyond monEsaver Internet Savings Account is great for savers with $5,000 to put away who are looking to do all of their banking online and earn interest on their money with no minimum deposits or withdrawal penalties.
Just bear in mind that there are different interest rate tiers for different deposits, so you'll only be able to grab the highest rate of 2.85% with a balance of $200,000 or more.

We are happy with the bank however the rates for our savings acct are low, nobody has contacted us from the bank or even mentioned when we call up that perhaps we could do better by placing the money into another account. It's a fair amount and been there for 3 years without any recommendations.
