Aussies 'can still secure a bargain pre-Christmas holiday'
Article by Mozo
Aussies who are still hoping to take a pre-Christmas holiday can find plenty of bargains, it has been claimed.
Senior director of Hotwire Fulvia Montreso said that although the festive season is usually a busy time for hotel owners, many are still slashing their room rates in order to ensure full occupancy, eTravel Blackboard Asia reports.
She suggested destinations in the Asia-Pacific region – such as Manila, Jakarta and Pattaya – are providing particularly good value for money at the moment.
"By booking two weeks or less before they plan to travel, they will actually benefit from the biggest savings, leaving more money to spend on holiday," she was quoted as saying.
With Christmas presents still to buy, many Aussies will have a strict budget to stick to when they head overseas this Christmas.
The best way to do this is to secure a prepaid travel card, which enable tourists to load as much money as they can afford on to one solitary piece of plastic, so they will not return from a relaxing festive break to a monstrous credit card bill.
