Aussies planning to get a travel credit card and go on holiday have been urged to consider a cruise, as this form of vacation is "affordable, value for money and relaxing".
Speaking to Coolum & North Shore News, cruise consultant with Escape Travel Kerri Cottell noted that these breaks could be ideal for older holidaymakers because everything is organised for them.
She noted that many cruise companies are trying to break into the Australian market, which has resulted in a price war.
The expert added that a cruise may also be a good last-minute holiday option.
"You don't need to book a cruise 12 months before the departure date, if you wait until a month before you can usually get last minute specials," Ms Cottell added.
Earlier this month, actress Joan Collins may have bought a prepaid travel card as she visited Australia and went on a trip around Sydney Harbour in the super-yacht Xanadu, reported the Daily Telegraph.
