Demand for euros could grow ahead of Italian art fair
One of the most important art and tourism fairs in the world could have plenty of culture-seeking Aussies looking for the best travel money rates before venturing to Italy.
Organisers of the first edition of Art & Tourism are expecting up to 25,000 people from all over the world to converge on Florence between May 18th and 20th, e-TurboNews reports.
It has been billed as the ideal place for different countries to showcase their cultural heritage to a mass audience, with exhibitions, shows and conventions scheduled to take place in the picturesque Tuscan city.
The people tasked with putting on the event have almost succeeded in attracting 400 international buyers to the festival and they are adamant it will become the biggest trade exchange of cultural tourism in the world.
Of course, Florence is a great place for Aussies to visit at any time of the year thanks to its rich culture and reputation for fine art.
With the dollar currently very strong against the euro, it makes perfect sense for people from down under to venture to Europe at some point in 2012.
