Diners Club and Qantas release new payment card
Article by Mozo
Diners Club and Qantas have joined forces to launch a new rewards payment card that offers users the most competitive earn rates on the airline's Frequent Flyer scheme.
The card – which also provides access to World MasterCard services – comes with numerous travel benefits.
It grants customers entrance to more than 450 international airport lounges, as well as discounted limousine services and travel insurance.
For the first $60,000 spent on the card, members earn 1.5 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per dollar and then 1.25 points per dollar on further purchases.
"We believe this new card is the market leading payment product for consumers who value the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and the extensive travel services Diners Club offers," commented head of cards for Citibank Julian Potter.
More and more people are using travel credit cards and other plastic products when heading abroad, it seems.
Cards are far more convenient to carry around than a wallet full of cash and they can be cancelled if lost or stolen.
