Employers urged to help out Aussie holidaymakers

More Aussies could be looking to secure a prepaid travel card before taking a vacation, after tourism officials urged employers to take action over the huge amount of stockpiled leave entitlement across the country.
Recent statistics compiled by Roy Morgan Research have shown that the total number of holidays that Australian workers have so far built up is the equivalent of 129 million days.
Bosses at Tourism Australia have urged firms to make provisions to ensure staff can take their full allocation of holidays this year.
A number of Aussies are worried that their position might be under threat if they take their full entitlement, while a large number are also wary of returning to a huge backlog of work.
Managing director of the organisation Andrew McEvoy said: "Holidays help to build positive morale, which results in increased motivation in the workplace, making it a better place for everyone."
The Department of Foreign Affairs recently urged Aussies who plan to party while travelling abroad to keep close tabs on their travel credit cards and cash in case they are targeted by criminals.
