Importance of securing the best travel money deals highlighted
It is increasingly important that Aussies receive the best travel money rates when heading abroad on holiday, as vacations are becoming few and far between for many people.
A new study conducted by Expedia.com.au has indicated Australia is among the world's top five "holiday-deprived" nations.
It seems that a growing number of Aussies are more reluctant to take annual leave from their jobs, as the research showed workers are waiving five days of their holiday entitlement during the year.
Almost one in three Australians said they were concerned about the cost of heading abroad, which makes it all the more vital that travellers scour the market to make savings on travel money purchases.
Director of psychology services at Medibank Health Solutions Dr Peter Cotton urged Aussies to take more relaxing holidays.
"Not taking leave can often lead to increased stress levels both in professional and personal life. However, taking regular holidays is essential to maintaining a healthy work/life balance," he commented.
Bosses at Cheapflights.com recently told Australians there will be a number of bargain holidays available over the Christmas period if they look hard enough.
