New SEEQ go card launched in Queensland
Tourists heading to south-east Queensland can now purchase a SEEQ go card that allows them to use public transport for three consecutive days.
The cards guarantee unlimited travel for a set price of $79, while visitors staying for five days can buy a ticket for $129.
Holidaymakers can pre-purchase the cards before they arrive in Australia and transport and main roads minister Scott Emerson believes the system will make it far more convenient for people to get around.
"Tourists now have the option of a regular pay-as-you-travel go card with tourist information packs or they can plan ahead with the new pay-up-front unlimited travel SEEQ go card," he remarked.
Visitors can also make use of a similar concept when purchasing their overseas travel money.
Prepaid travel cards are growing in popularity, as they enable users to load all of their cash on to one piece of plastic.
The cards are ideal for travellers who have a set budget to stick to and holidaymakers don't need to worry about excessive credit card fees while they are abroad.
