The OzForex Travel Card has long been a favourite prepaid travel card for Aussies looking to jetset overseas without being bitten by high overseas fees and currency conversion margins, however from November 30 2015 OzForex will be cancelling this card for good.

The foreign exchange specialist has issued a statement saying it will no longer be accepting further applications for the OzForex Travel Card and will be contacting current customers via email about their options for having their balances moved from the card.

The OzForex Travel Card, which was issued by Macquarie Bank Limited originally came to the travel money market in 2012 and soon became known for having the best exchange rates out of any prepaid card in the Australian market, allowing users to load up to nine currencies. It even took out a Gold medal in the Mozo Experts Choice Travel Money Awards for Best Value Prepaid Travel Card.

OzForex says it will be reviewing alternative ways to deliver a prepaid travel card down the track.

While OzForex will no longer be providing prepaid travel cards to Aussie globetrotters, there are still plenty of other competitive travel money deals to be found. Simply, head on over to our prepaid travel money section to kick off your comparison today.
