Multi-currency travel cards are a great option for frequent fliers who are constantly heading to different parts of the world on business.

They allow users to load numerous types of money on to one single piece of plastic, removing the stress of finding the best exchange rates every time you land in another country.

The products are catching on all over the world and businessman M Doshi told Indian news provider DNA that prepaid travel cards have made his life far easier.

"For me, this card comes in very handy due to my frequent foreign trips. It simply takes forex worries off my mind," he was quoted as saying.

Of course, having one single card is far safer than walking around with a pocketful of seven or eight different forms of cash.

Should you lose your wallet, it is easy enough to call your provider and cancel the card before it is used by thieves.

This method is also likely to save you money, as exchange bureaus – particularly those in airports – are notorious for offering poor rates.
