Travel experts highlight best destinations in 2012
Lonely Planet author Joe Bindloss has outlined the places where Aussies should be spending their overseas travel money in 2012.
The expert has suggested that Goa in India is set to be one of the most preferable locations next year due to its hot climate and stunning beaches.
With this in mind, more Aussies may be tempted to seek the best exchange rates on the Indian rupee before heading to the Asian country.
"India's favourite beach destination offers an intoxicating blend of sun, sea, sand and Indian spice," Mr Bindloss commented.
Another option for Australian holidaymakers next year is Morocco, which events and promotions manager at the Moroccan National Tourist Office Jamal El Jaidi suggested is ideal for those who are looking to explore new cultures and traditions.
Bosses at airline Jetstar recently stated that the strong Australian dollar has caused more people to head abroad, as their money is stretching far further.
