With the NAB Traveller Card you can lock in your exchange rate before you travel, without the slap of an initial load fee. You will be able to make purchases or pay bills overseas wherever MasterCard is accepted. This includes hotels, restaurants, retail and online stores. You can also use the card to withdraw local currency from ATMs.
The NAB Traveller Card allows you to preload up to 10 currencies so it should be suitable for everyone from holiday makers to multi-country globetrotters. Currencies that you can load on the card include Pounds, Euro, USD, Canadian and NZ Dollars, as well as a range of Asian currencies including Thai Baht, Japanese Yen, Singapore and Hong Kong dollars.
If you buy something on the card in a currency that is not loaded on the card (such as Indonesian Rupiah) or you accidentally spend more than what is loaded on the card in that currency and it takes the balance from the next currency available on the card, you will have to pay a 4% cross currency conversion fee.
If you’re running low on funds mid-trip, you can always add more money to your card. If you’re a NAB customer, you can reload your card from your linked NAB accounts immediately, as well as check your balance and transactions using the NAB mobile banking app. If you don’t have access to NAB Internet Banking, simply reload money on your card using BPAY. Within 2-3 Australian business days, the money will be loaded onto your travel card so you can keep spending as you need.
The minimum load amount on the card is $50 but you are really planning on spending big you can load up to $45,000 in branch or $25,000 via BPAY. The Maximum daily limit for transaction is $7,000 and for ATM withdrawals it is $3000.
