NAB is one of Australia’s Big Four banks, and along with bank accounts, home loans and insurance products, it also offers a range of credit cards. There are low rate and low fee card options for those who want to prioritise affordability or paying off an older debt, but there are also rewards cards which can earn you NAB Rewards Points or Qantas Points.
Low interest rate for new purchases
Long 0% balance transfer period of 24 months
Up to 55 interest free days on purchases
Unpaid balance transfers pay 21.74% p.a.
3% balance transfer fee
International transaction fee of 3.50%
NAB’s Low Rate Card is frequently picked as one of the best credit cards in our database, and that’s largely thanks to its 0% balance transfer period of 24 months – one of the longest available.
A balance transfer is when you move your credit card debt from one card to another, and you often get access to a low or 0% interest rate on the transferred amount for a limited time.
Getting 24 months to pay off your existing debt is excellent, though keep in mind if you can’t pay off your balance transfer within this timeframe, it will attract a high interest rate of 21.74% p.a.
New purchases made with the card get a lower variable interest rate of 13.49% p.a., and you can benefit from up to 55 interest free days to help manage your repayments. Note that to access interest free days, you need to meet the interest free days payment.
NAB’s Low Rate Card costs $59 a year, and unfortunately a balance transfer fee of 3% applies if you’re moving over an existing debt.
Overall, we think the Low Rate Card is a top choice for anyone looking to pay off their credit card debt with a lengthy 0% balance transfer period – just beware of the steep jump in interest rate after this time ends.
Spend with confidence with a low variable purchase rate and 0% p.a. interest on balance transfers for the first 24 months. Unpaid balance transfer reverts to variable cash advance rate. 3% balance transfer fee applies. There’s also up to 55 interest free days on purchases to help you manage your budget when you pay your account in full by the due date. Minimum credit limit $1,000. Low annual fee. T&Cs, fees, charges and eligibility criteria apply.

My only complaint is that it is getting harder to find an NAB ATM. There are other cash dispensers, but a lot of them charge to use them. I believe this is happening with every bank. I have banked with NAB for many years and have always been looked after well.
In comparison to credit cards from other banks NAB seems reliable and trustworthy. My main complaint is that I am a retired person who has been with NAB for many years and been totally reliable and have a top credit rating. However despite that loyalty and reputation NAB would not allow me to change credit cards and seem to completely ignore my financial reliability when it comes to loans once retired
Hi I like my bank as it helps you when you need some support on fees being weaved. Rewards are not been able to use all the time when want to use them. No interest free term for 6month on credit card unless you are new costumer .
