At Mozo, we don't make subjective judgments about financial services based on complicated criteria. Although we may receive a payment from financial providers listed on our site, they in no way influence our ratings. We simply let real customers have their say, and tally their votes to produce a list of Australia's best and worst banks and insurers, as decided by people like you.
We now have over 100,000 reviews from the Mozo community with more being added every day. We regularly crunch the numbers to keep the ratings up to date.
Customers rate their banking provider in a range of different areas such as overall satisfaction, price, features, customer service, convenience and trust. Every review is moderated to ensure that it meets our reviews guidelines before it is published on our site.
In addition to banking reviews, customers can also rate their car, travel, life and income protection insurer. Customers rate insurers on criteria such as overall satisfaction, value for money, policy coverage, customer service, claims handling and trust.
Once a year, we use our ratings averages to award banks and insurers with our People's Choice Awards . Only providers which have products that are available and accessible to the majority of Australians and who have at least 30 reviews in a category in the past 12 months are eligible for an award.
Mozo founded the People's Choice Awards for two reasons: to give banking, energy and insurance customers a real voice in the marketplace; and to give Australia's true stars the chance to shine.
In 2017 we received reviews for 118 different banking institutions, 46 car insurers, 50 home insurers and 32 energy retailers.
