Progress Saver does help to keep the interest rate down on your mortgage as long as you have the funds to put in there. ANZ are extremely helpful with finance planning but you have to be careful not to have to many insurances etc. In other words paying for a service that you don't need. They could do a little better on their interest rates as I feel the greed at the the top end is disgusting but that is like all banks.

The best policy for any company is phenomenal customer service, and that is what I received. Was in the branch two hours, which I set aside to learn everything there was to learn about the progress saver. The consultant even created a separate account to put extra savings in and make it hard for me to withdraw money, meaning no card, and no transfers. The only way I could withdraw money was if I went into the branch and ask the 'hold' to be lifted temporarily whilst I withdrew what I needed. Not only was this part of the service exceptional, but I received a 5 year plan and goal to get a deposit for my first home loan. Took into consideration employment, income, location, family situation and expected loan amount. We were able to calculate how much per fortnight I needed to save and the online budget calculator made it even easier to achieve this. I was also pleased with the overdraft fee reversal which accidently occured when a business took more than I had available, the fee was applied, but waived later on. VERY impressed.

I like ANZ's Progress Saver Account because they give you incentive to deposit money into your account each month (with the minimum deposit being $10)by giving you bonus interest which at most times is the highest interest rates around, and if you don't put the minimum amount in for the month or make a withdrawal, you don't get the bonus interest. Another pro is you get to track your saving progress with a savings graph and a set goal amount to reach on each statement you receive. Also there are no account keeping fees.

Why I'm drawn to ANZ, is that they're often intuitive and always ahead. The interest rates are among the best, allowing me the opportunity to invest. Whether in person, on the phone, or mostly online, the customer service is always refined. Rewards programs linked with the credit card - qantas points allowing me to travel afar. If you lose your card then be aware, it can take weeks to replace which is often a great burden to bare. With the RBA announcing ever changing rates, ANZ manages to adapt which is great. I recommend this bank to all, the services it provides assists those with large accounts or very small.
