no local branches difficult to get replies and they make lots of mistakes
The ability to access your money beyond a set account limit is extremely problematic. The ability to do this online has been removed. You have to call the customer service team who then get an online banking person to call you back to increase the withdrawal limit. I have been waiting for 2 hours for a call back. To add to the frustration I have to call them back after the transaction to lower the limit.
HSBC Premier banking makes it convenient and at no cost to transfer funds internationally / globally
The UI on apps is user friendly.
Very secure bank great for international transfers with (Premier Banking). However not so good with credit card applications as wont give details for refusal.
This bank is hopeless and it’s safer to keep your cash home. HSBC admit there are lots of scams happening and many of the scammers are using their accounts but they can do nothing about it.
I've had a generally positive experience with HSBC's Global Everyday Account. The cash back program, offering 2% on every transaction, is a definite highlight and adds a nice perk to everyday banking. However, it's worth noting that customer service response times could be improved, as they aren't the fastest. Additionally, the absence of PayID is a drawback for me. While I find it convenient, it's not a deal-breaker, and I still appreciate the other features the bank offers. In summary, HSBC provides a solid banking experience with a rewarding cash back program, but improvements in customer service and the addition of PayID would make it even better.
There's very little to gain from reward programs and interest. However, it is very convenient and easy to use in most ways. I only got it because of my parents.
Easy to use. Like the difference currencies and cash back on certain purchases.
I have been a customer of HSBC for over 10 years and I have had a generally positive experience. The customer service has always been friendly and helpful and both the online banking and mobile app are easy to use. I also appreciate HSBC's international reach which has been helpful for my business.
