The interest rate is high, but my primary concern is the frequent maintenance, which often leaves me unable to access my money without warning. Furthermore, despite notifying the bank about my interstate travel, my cards were still blocked, preventing me from making purchases. Overall, BOQ is in my opinion a poorly managed bank, offering a high interest rate that in no way compensates for its poor customer service and lack of accountability.
Worst Bank every time I try and transfer money into my account there is a problem They have admitted it is their fault but the problem keeps happening. As a result I loose interest on my money because it is out of my other account and some how does not get into my BOQ account. Took almost an hour to get through to someone that could not help me. If you are thinking of using BOQ I suggest you think again.
Unfortunately online transfers take a long time to clear so makes it very inconvenient at times.
Interest Rate is amazing for people under 35.
For those in Queensland it’s wonderful to have a bank which still provides in-person support and decent returns a time when Australia’s ‘Big 4’ banks are removing services, staff, branches and support from customers to optimise profits. Having been so appreciative of BoQ’s branch customer service provided to my parents (especially when my mother started to forget how to use her computer and mobile) I chose BoQ for my young son’s first bank account as I want him to meet staff and deposit money directly. I’ve also set up a business account with my local branch. Thank you BoQ.
When I opened my account on their website I’ve somehow been switched to the MyBOQ which is all done on an app so don’t have access to internet banking or anything along those lines. Don’t have a customer access number, which makes things very difficult if I don’t have access to my phone. When I ring to talk about this I get the run around and transferred from one person to another a couple of times. It’s honestly so frustrating
I have been with BOQ for over 20 years and could not have run my small business without them as my bankers. I can call directly and speak to the branch and bank manager. I can also call into the branch and be served by the same familiar faces.
i didn’t like this bank at first, the app used to be really hard to use and so dysfunctional. they have got a new app now and it’s the easiest thing to use, it’s so convenient and simple. i love it
This bank I s Avery food bank they are very helpful and no problems since I joined
Extremely reliable and excellent customer support been with the bank for five years now and had no problems highly recommend
