  I am quite happy with the Commonwealth as I switched from Suncorp, who charge for everything and anything to this bank with fees that are lower and more acceptable. I would definitely recommend the Commonwealth Bank       Full review

  There is no monthly fee. However, the interest is very low and inconsistent. I get different interest every month on the same amount of money. Sometimes less and sometimes more.       Full review

  The Commonwealth Bank was my first bank with school banking at 7yrs old. I have remained a customer of the Commonwealth Bank since that time. I'm very happy with the service I receive.. they even asked me to change one of my accounts so I could get more interest and less fees. Always easy to access a bank branch and the customer service is A one. So from a small girl in primary school to the adult I am today, the Commonwealth Bank has always been a part of my financial life.

  There's a very decent interest rate and you are not penalised for withdrawals the way you are with some savings accounts. It was easy to link to my other accounts and was recommended to me and set up by a customer service officer when I called on ...       Full review 

  There's a very decent interest rate and you are not penalised for withdrawals the way you are with some savings accounts. It was easy to link to my other accounts and was recommended to me and set up by a customer service officer when I called on another matter. He pointed out that I was missing out on interest with the old account I was using and set up the new account right away. Because of this positive experience, I place more weight on the recommendations made to me by the bank.

  I love this savings account because it encourages 15 year olds and under to save up money, which it does fabulously. To get the maximum amount of interest (which is pretty good), you must deposit money every month and not withdraw any amount. Otherwise if you just leave your money sitting around there. It will generate next to nothing in interest. It's a great system. It also gives you opportunities to win fantastic prizes suited to the younger person such as a new gaming console.

  The savings accounts at the Commonwealth Bank, I believe, are of much higher quality than any other bank. For one, I have family members who work at the commbank who assure me that their processes and work ethics are above the standards of other banks. They take pride in their customer and meeting their customers needs. Further, savings accounts at the commbank have high interest rates, but also have promotions and added benefits if you exceed the minimum amount required to save (eg interest rate is 4.5% p.a., but if you save more than $200 a month the interest rate increases to 6%). Not only is this a great benefit, but it actually encourages people to not only save but to save AS MUCH AS THEY CAN.

  I like the Commonwealth as I have had the account since I was a child and the atm's are everywhere. It's a great bank for children to open an account and learn about the value of money early and they can keep the account all their lives if they like.       Full review

Well if people need to open a new account, they should know about the interest rates, plus active knowledge about the product they are purchasing, because sometimes the interest rates go up and down.
