  I find the NAB bank very secure with their online banking. I have had trouble in the past... with someone trying to take money out. They stopped my account and saved me money. The only thing is there was no notification. I tried to use the account...       Full review 

  I find the NAB bank very secure with their online banking. I have had trouble in the past... with someone trying to take money out. They stopped my account and saved me money. The only thing is there was no notification. I tried to use the account and couldn't and was very embarrassed when I got to the checkout... if they could just rectify this it would be perfect.

  I think that most big banks work the same way, which is to make as much money as they can out of every person that is using their bank facilities. I think that depending on what you do with your account (in this case) is which bank you should be with. We had a special deal given to us as we are on concession card, so it made this bank a tad cheaper for us.

  Someone made an illegal transfer of funds through the internet. NAB immediately rang me and cancelled that transaction. Then once there was an illegal debit done from the account by a holiday home provider. It took a long time with paper work g...       Full review

  Frankly I can't see why people put up with the poor service, and costs, associated with ANY OTHER BANK. Since switching to NAB I have NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR THEM.       Full review

The rates are very very competitive and we have the added security of being backed by one of the big four.   This bank is not for you. They are liars, have incompetent staff and just horrible. For example, I bet you have seen the advertisements on TV about never being charged for an overdrawn account again, so join us now. Well they don't mention it is impossible to overdraw your account unless you have an overdraft option which costs around $200 or more interest a year on a $500 overdraft. It's just a scam to get people to join them under false pretenses and there are many more like this as well.

  I haven't been able to make full use of the isaver that is connected to my NAB account but it is quite an easy system of transferring funds to this account and once I'm in a more financial situation, I hope to be able to utilise this saving option...       Full review

  I find that the NAB bank is higher in fees than anyone else but changing everything over is a chore. As long as they see money in the account, they are satisfied but the minute you overdraw the account by $20.00 they will bounce what ever it is. ...       Full review 

  I find that the NAB bank is higher in fees than anyone else but changing everything over is a chore. As long as they see money in the account, they are satisfied but the minute you overdraw the account by $20.00 they will bounce what ever it is. All the fees we pay including credit cards, home loans. personal loans you think they would be a little more considerate. They need to drop their interest rates on every credit card/loans as people are struggling to make ends meet. They don't care as they are making billions each year but you would think they would be a bit more easy going and stop thinking about themselves and start looking after their customers as one day they won't have anyone banking with them or using them for personal loans, credit cards, home loans,insurances and what ever else they offer.

  We have been dealing with National Bank now for a good 25 years? In that time we have seen much improvement in all areas from customer service to accounts offered. No matter whether it's phone banking or in an actual branch, we have always been treated as an individual and not just a number or account. I would no more like to change banks than fly to the moon and they aren't going to happen,,.,, NAB are the best bank who explains everything in simple English and always go through the pros and cons of whatever we are there for, and the one that suits us not them...:)

  This is a very good product that I really enjoy. Except for using my ATM card, I can do all other transactions via internet. I LOVE internet banking and I think this is the ideal product for it. When we visited South Africa last year my account...       Full review 

  This is a very good product that I really enjoy. Except for using my ATM card, I can do all other transactions via internet. I LOVE internet banking and I think this is the ideal product for it. When we visited South Africa last year my account was converted to offer me the best fees and reverted back to my normal account when I came back. Cons, I cannot really think off, except if you're a person that loves to stand in bank queues, you will probably not enjoy the fun of the internet banking. And oh yes, if you want to deposit money or cheques, you have no other option but to visit the branch!

  Although I had legal Enduring POA for my incapacitated mother, the NAB refused to let me withdraw any money from her account. I faced incredible humiliation in every branch where I tried to get small amounts to pay her Nursing Home bills, clothing...       Full review 

  Although I had legal Enduring POA for my incapacitated mother, the NAB refused to let me withdraw any money from her account. I faced incredible humiliation in every branch where I tried to get small amounts to pay her Nursing Home bills, clothing or even little treats. I was told I must pay the bills and bring the receipts in to them to be reimbursed. Even with a letter from my mother's solicitor they refused. I had to go through court to even close her account and move it to another Bank. Yet the NAB constantly phoned me wanting to invest Mum's money in other products they had! NEVER BANK ON NAB! ANZ were wonderful and made handling Mum's bills etc so easy.

Only downside is that there are no branches to visit, all transactions must be completed via the internet or email.
