6I like their online banking because of the ease and flexibility it gives me to do my banking. I think Online banking with its higher interest rates are great because they beat the deeming rates given – Gordon from South Australia, an ANZ term deposit customer. Reviewed 2 months ago

8This product is in line with all other term deposits. Dislike the fact that interest changes daily until it is fixed so that you could have two term deposits a day apart and the interest rate could be different. – Gloria from New South Wales, an ANZ term deposit customer. Reviewed 3 months ago

8I like the interest I receive on a monthly basis. I think the bank is a little behind in that they offer a higher interest to new accounts being established whereby they could reward their current customers by surprising them and therefore gaining more loyalty by putting the interest rate up for them at the end of the monthly period. – Julie from Western Australia, an ANZ term deposit customer. 8Rather than the product it is the banking staff at our branch who have our trust and surprisingly for a bank feel they have our interests at heart. That's why we stick with them. – Karen from New South Wales, an ANZ term deposit customer. Reviewed 3 months ago

7While there are other more competitive choices around I would strongly suggest you check before having a Term Deposit with ANZ. ANZ do not and have not had a competitive rate for over 10 years and this is attributed to firstly satisfying their shareholders with dividends rather than looking after their 'bricks and mortar' customers - Shame ANZ Shame. – Greg from Victoria, an ANZ term deposit customer. 1I originally put in $40K over 4 months. At the expiry I was not given opportunity to consider other options - ANZ rolled my term deposit over another 4 months and were going to charge me a fee to break the next term. – Clyde from Victoria, an ANZ term deposit customer. Reviewed 5 months ago

8I like having the capacity to meet with knowledgeable financial advisers with follow-up assistance and customer services. ANZ have competitive rates for term deposits. Range of products and flexibility mix is well-constructed. The call centre is open 24/7 which is good. I dislike that ANZ have had several major episodes of forcing bulk staff members to resign, citing the global economic crisis (ie. recession) as a reason. The branches have inconsistent hours, dependent on where they are placed, even if only 500 meters apart (inconsistency makes for confused clients). I have mentioned this to ANZ CEOs, and suggested that they try to offer their staff a flexible work arrangements (job-share, part-time, staggered or rolling shifts), rather than just laying 100s of people off in one day. Due to my concern for the morale of staff uncertain of their job-security, I have mentioned this at appropriate times, to individuals who can table this. Finally, this has been raised at the GM in terms of staff attrition and efficacy, so hopefully something will come of their attitude to staff management. The latter issue, for me at least, has caused confusion and frustration. That is, I have had meetings with specialists within ANZ, and rescheduled future meetings. Twice now, when I've arrived to a meeting, I have been met by a new face, being told that the person I was dealing with "unfortunately left the institution". I have to start from scratch explaining my situations, and have found gaining good rapport the second time a little difficult due to the loss of continuity. – Judith from Queensland, an ANZ term deposit customer. 0I like nothing about my term deposit. What I dislike is that instead of redeeming my deposit according to the terms they held onto it for a further 3 weeks beyond the date of maturity and at a much reduced interest rate - from 8.14% to 1.75%. After threatening them with the Financial Ombudsman this was raised to 3%. My tip? Under no circumstances should anyone make use of a term deposit from ANZ. – John from New South Wales, an ANZ term deposit customer. Reviewed 7 months ago
