Unable to view the statement online due to it being a term deposit. I like to update my accounting system to know exactly what I have and it will not show any transactions other than the final figure.
No security eg: notification, in place to be notified if money is removed from this account.

Earlier this year ANZ wanted to pay 6%. I had a letter that entitled me to 6.2% and had to take the letter into the branch and push for 6.2%. I was advised interest rates would go up and to invest for 6 months. 20th July the 6 months had ended. ANZ advised it was now invested at5.4%. I had to call the bank and the best they could offer was a 5.8% special for 5 months. I accepted this and now regret it. I wish I had asked for my money. ANZ were offering 6% yesterday. When the term deposit matures I will be taking my money elsewhere.

When I opened the account I thought the interest was calculated daily and credited monthly. I transfer small amounts frequently through the month to get them out of my ATM Access account. Have to get around to moving institutions.

Have been a customer of this Bank for the past 40 yrs.
Have no real problems with them, but I did lose some capital with a so called "SAFE" but low return ...investment.
Since then.. I have not used their in house investment advisors.
I have always considered their shorter term deposit interest payments could be improved and brought up a higher level. Considering offers made by OTHER banks and the knowledge one has of their total annual profit margins.
Constantly reading of better offers from other banks, which the shorter (3-4 month)periods ....Which my wife and I prefer.
BUT I remain with them regardless.
Always hoping our long standing custom and their (Kindness???) will change.
Yes. We could do better and save hundreds annually....but!!!!!

I like the product but in reality it is no more special or unique compared to any other term deposit of the same type. The interest rate is competitive but certainly not the best in the sector.
I use this term deposit because it is the term deposit that my bank offers. I selected it because there was a .25% special above the current rate when purchasing.
If I wasn't with ANZ I would probably go to another bank/credit union.
Overall not a good or bad product, just another in the line of very similar products offered by all financial institutions.

My branch is within walking distance. The staff have a small turnover and greet me by name. i am of mature years and if they see me waiting for long ask me in to the next operator. Also they recommend better products, eg on line saver, and are patient with my many queries, especially when I was first getting on line.

After checking out Mozo on other Banks, ANZ are not giving the highest interest rates as compared with some of the other banks. Thanks Mozo for giving me this infomation, next time I will check out the interest rates more thouroughly .

I like the ANZ. However it's people who make or break any business. Getting a good person to help apply and get what I want out of a term deposit (and anything else for that matter) is difficult at times. There are many elements to applications and getting ALL of it right is a real challenge.

ANZ term deposits need to be carefully watched in times of fluctuating interest rates.The rollover factor sets interest at the rate of initial deposit or less- not the current available interest if greater. For me that means finding the time ( in the 5 working days allowed) to wait on a queue and request the current/better rate. Advice- check rates weekly on website.
