  I previously thought all banks were he same. Heritage has busted that myth. Staff are awesome and explain products and take the time and effort to serve you face to face. Opening hours are convient, however they could do with more branches       Full review

  Think twice before going with these guys. the lack of communication & flexibility is not worth the stress! Settlement should have been 4th April 2012, it's now 12th April & we've just been told it's not going to happen until 16th april at 2:15...       Full review 

  Think twice before going with these guys. the lack of communication & flexibility is not worth the stress! Settlement should have been 4th April 2012, it's now 12th April & we've just been told it's not going to happen until 16th april at 2:15! & the reason. Their "legal team" take 48hrs from when they receive everything before they will hand over. Nobody was told this "48hr" rule until the day of settlement (4th) which they then requested the deeds to our other house (which we own), pushing settlement to 11th, only on that day do they request more & today they tell us it wont happen till 16th April! All involved have commented this is the worst bank they have dealt with & our conveyancer has apologized to us for the banks stuff ups! We tried & tried to talk to somebody to get answers & help. Well that was like banging our heads against a brick wall, nobody could or would tell us anything! Initially it was delayed a week because the bank didn't organize for an evaluation until the deadline for inspections etc. So really you could say the bank has held us up for the last 3 weeks, because they keep finding things they have missed. Really guys don't you look at things properly first, or just on the day it's all meant to go through!!! Very un-happy we will be looking to change from them ASAP!

  We like a lot of Heritage products as they are a smaller based bank, so therefore there customer service is terrific. We just recently needed a loan approved super fast and not a small one either, they were incredible with their communication and ...       Full review 

  We like a lot of Heritage products as they are a smaller based bank, so therefore there customer service is terrific. We just recently needed a loan approved super fast and not a small one either, they were incredible with their communication and speed in getting things done. Our mortgage broker said he hadn't dealt with them before, but after organising our loan & getting to speak directly with the manager each time, he was so impressed, he will be recommending them to future clients.   When my husband died, I was told by the Commonwealth bank I would have to apply for a new loan. So I did with Heritage and they were more then happy to refinance my house loan.       Full review

  Heritage bank was a credit union and continues to show personal attention and a caring attitude. Their call centre staff are always helpful, clear and easy to understand and being based in Australia there are no language barriers. I have a home loan and connected savings account and have received the same service levels on both. Heritage are also quick to pass on interest rate reductions, which is a huge help. The only real issue is that they do not have nation-wide branches so if I need to withdraw large sums it takes a few days to arrange it with a sister institution. Otherwise they have solved this problem and I can have free withdrawals at Westpac and other ATMs.

  As a sole parent it was hard to find any bank that would have faith in my ability to be able to manage a mortgage and so it is a real treat to have Heritage treat me as any other customer. The flexibility of this product has given me the financial backup required to assist my boys in there various stages of growing up. Any request has been dealt with in a 24 hr turn around with no probs & follow up phone calls to check all requests are taken care of. Prompt personalised service with a helpful 'can do' attitude---wish more were like them!!!

  Dont like the BIG banks. Heritage was the only bank in the 80s that gave a house loan to a single female I have used them and taken a home loan out when I married. I reccomend them highly       Full review

  Even though we're paying a bit more on our interest rate, we did lock in for 5 years, but they are the only bank that would allow us to make multiple, any amount payments against our loan in any given year, where all other banks would limit the amount of overpayment you made. And redrawing is a breeze - you can download the form of their internet and its $20 - too easy. The staff are nice and the manager who lent us the money was excellent to deal with.

  We will never go back to any of the big banks purely because Heritage Building Society look after us to well. Even though there are no branches in NSW as they are a QLD building society we can always contact them by phone a get helpful customer se...       Full review 

  We will never go back to any of the big banks purely because Heritage Building Society look after us to well. Even though there are no branches in NSW as they are a QLD building society we can always contact them by phone a get helpful customer service consultants every time.Their online website is straight forward easy to follow. This Building Society has set a high standard in customer service and actually listen to what the customer wants and deal with it quickly.
