They have excellent and very attentive customer service, and even have a Skype number so you can call for free (very handy when overseas).   I like the high interest rates. Even though there is no physical branch, the staff is always very helpful when you ring up, but some of the banking is difficult to follow without telephone help. Money is transferred quickly.       Full review

  In today's world, this is the type of banking product that is needed. Especially for someone like me, who travels a lot, within Australia and overseas, (where I am now, in Canada). So it is so easy to access and deal with bill payments. Also they are the most competitive with the rate, which in these difficult times, is very helpful.   UBank online bonus savings account offers the highest rate of interest if I deposit a minimum of $200 per month, currently over 6%. It has no restrictions on withdrawals as many competing accounts do, it's easy to open an account online, and the phone staff are very helpful and take me through procedures for changing withdrawal amounts if I can't figure them out online. They have recently installed a BPay system too, making it even more convenient. I did find it difficult to change a regular withdrawal, having to cancel the previous one and set up another one instead of just being able to change the amount.

  UBank "Usaver" internet savings account is excellent for long term savings, with a higher-than average interest rate, currently 6.06%. There is an option to increase this by a further .05%, by setting up an arrangement whereby at least $200 a month is transferred into UBank account, via a Direct Debit.By doing so, the length of time to effect a transfer to the accessible account is extended to 4 working days,but this does not present a problem for most long-term account holders. Setting up the account and its optional extra interest arrangement is simple, as are access to, and navigability of the website, managing the account, and understanding all the information given on the website.

Not only that it offers an interest rate of 6.40% which is in this tough market the best possible income source currently available in the market with a risk factor almost equal to zero.   One of the best products on the market to save money. There are cards associated with the account, the only way to get money in or out is to move it to another account. Even though they are a 100% online they provide great service if you need them.       Full review
