I love this product as it is great to get a higher interest rate and still have it linked to my other accounts. I love Westpac as I have NEVER had any problems with them. With other financial institutions I seem to have nothing but problems or they try increase my card limit - and i have to tell them several times on the call I'm not interested. Not great customer service. Thanks Westpac you make our banking very easy.

I have been with Westpac since I was a girl (approx 50 Years)it was then called Bank of New South Wales, I have over the years been with other banks but always remain faithful to Westpac and they have seen me through Fire and Flood and Home Loans, Car Loans and Borrowed Monies, and now days I am just a pensioner but I am treated as though I am one of their rich clients, I have about 5 accounts and they do not charge me any fees, and interest rates on par with other facilities so I stay with them. They have all I need like internet banking ATM, personal assistance at a branch and well trained staff.

The basic thing is that when I opened my e-saver, the interest was big, but after a year it became so little that I even dont notice it at the end of the month. But I do like the management here - they are always so helpful and friendly. Last time... Full review

But I do like the management here - they are always so helpful and friendly. Last time Portland Westpac bank manager even offered us cash because of the faulty overdraw which left us in negative balance. It was Friday and the manager knew that we would need money.

Flexible money and great rates
The eSaver account gives me just what I need - It's card-free and paper-free so saves clutter. I have online access to the money whenever I want but get good interest on the money when I keep it in there! I do wish it had a bonus interest option... Full review

I loved that I could set it up online when it suited me so I didn't even have to make time to go into a branch during my work day.

The flexibility found with eSaver reflects the professionalism of Westpac in general - an easily maintainable account which requires little input. This being said, people should consider eSaver as a product which sacrifices high interest rates for a steady one. Still, highly recommended to everyone.

Poor product that penalises existing customers
What I hate about the eSaver is that they offer new eSaver customers a higher interest rate than what they offer their existing customers. You then have the choice to either change banks to one with a higher interest rate, or put up with the low r... Full review
What I hate about the eSaver is that they offer new eSaver customers a higher interest rate than what they offer their existing customers. You then have the choice to either change banks to one with a higher interest rate, or put up with the low rate just to avoid all the disruption involved in changing banks. My eSaver interest is my only source of income at the moment. I am going through a divorce (and the court action I am having to take to effect a fair property settlement) as well as dealing with the clean up and repair to my home after cyclone Yasi went directly over my house in Feb 2011. I don't have the time or energy to set up new bank accounts with other banks, so I am trapped in the Westpac low interest eSaver account for now :( I will definitely be taking my money and business elsewhere (probably open a uSaver account) when I have the time and energy to do so.

I like this product as it is easy to use by phone or on line. There are no fees for this account as long as you transfer funds to another account then take your money out. Every time I speak to a teller or customer service by phone the staff at Westpac are always friendly and willing to help me. I often get asked by Westpac staff if I am happy with my accounts or they tell me about the latest products available. I would recommend this product to everyone especially if you want to save money and get good interest on your return.
