The manager made the difference
Once we compared the bank we were with to the greater, looking at charges, service and staff and found I went to school with the manager who was so easy to deal with and explained the loan and options in plain english plus branch location was easy... Full review
Once we compared the bank we were with to the greater, looking at charges, service and staff and found I went to school with the manager who was so easy to deal with and explained the loan and options in plain english plus branch location was easy to access, we were happy to change over and felt a solid trust in the branch staff and manager, happy with the decision.

They are different, they know you by name
Their service is always friendly as is everyone when selling a new product to someone, but they also greet you by name when you enter and it appears they are very competitive with there charges and interest rates. Full review

Switch to the Greater we did!!
We switched to the Greater after being a NAB customer for years. When the interest rates fell they never reduced our payments, however when they went up. OH YES!!!!! They couldn't wait to put our payments up.The Greater always reduce our payments ... Full review
We switched to the Greater after being a NAB customer for years. When the interest rates fell they never reduced our payments, however when they went up. OH YES!!!!! They couldn't wait to put our payments up.The Greater always reduce our payments when interest rates drop. This is our 2nd mortgage with the Greater. The 1st one we did the holiday getaway option, but I don't recommend it as the rates are higher and there are a lot of great holiday packages that are cheap with a travel company anyway. This time we have split our loan into 2 loans one is a fixed rate and the other is a flexible rate, we find this works well for us. Hope this has been of help to someone. Cheers and have a great day.
