  ANZ are a terrible rip-off! I closed all my accounts with them because I was sick of their high fee's and dishonour fee's. Three months later, I found out they had been still receiving my pay into that account so that it wouldn't close and they we...       Full review 

  ANZ are a terrible rip-off! I closed all my accounts with them because I was sick of their high fee's and dishonour fee's. Three months later, I found out they had been still receiving my pay into that account so that it wouldn't close and they were still getting fee's from me, even though I had personally changed where my pay went. SO MAD!! The worst part was they blamed me, and wouldn't let me have access to my pay until the account fully closed. I was borrowing money for months.

  It seems that only a certain few branches in SA contain genuinely interpersonal staff. They always seem to have no qualms being one of, or the first to raise their mortgage interest rates. However the security measures they undertake seem to be competent & at a level above most of the banks. I'm quite happy with the online banking systems. However all banks ATM transaction fees, accrued from using other banks ATM machines should be paid for by the banks themselves. Come on!, with the published & projected profit margins, why don't they abolish all ATM, EFTPOS, & transaction fees???

  My suggestion is to shop around to find out which bank has the best competitive rates with minimum fees and highest interest rates on investments, keeping in mind rewards with that for your loyalty. Ask questions, employees are an extension of the business and is paramount when summing up their service. Don't rush. Smile!

  This card gives me the advantage of a Credit card without the high intrest rates. It took a few questions and forms but I made it so that I can not spend more than I have in the account. A con of the card is that the bank said that the card could be overdrawn if used overseas, this will only happen if you do not keep tabs on how much you have in the account.
