I never would have thought that this could influence my decision to pick a bank. But is really does. When the opportunity arises to change banks - for whatever reason, if they haven't fixed these issues. See ya!

      I have an Express Saver Account which gives me good interest. I also have access to it if I need it.       The staff are unbiased in their opinions. If paperwork issued to a customer by a person you believe is legitimate and the loans manager has doubts about it, they give it to their Legal Dept who research it and if necessary report it to the Police ...       Full review 

      The staff are unbiased in their opinions. If paperwork issued to a customer by a person you believe is legitimate and the loans manager has doubts about it, they give it to their Legal Dept who research it and if necessary report it to the Police Major Crime Squad, saving people thousands they would have lost in scam. Another bank was not prepared to do so.

      Like a lot of banks, when you enter, the atmosphere is depressing. The staff don't seem happy and rarely smile. When I went in with my mother-in-law,the lady at the counter seem quite annoyed at having to explain the options again because my mother-in-law's English is not that good. The bank employee intimidated her so I had to take over. This lady then spoke as if my mother-in-law was stupid and not even acknowledging her. Very disappointing. We have since taken out our money and closed the account.

      My account manager is a rude and loudly spoken bully. The bank will not link a debit card to my business account, meaning I have to shuffle money into and out of another account so I can transact on-line purchases.       Full review

      I had multiple issues with this bank especially after they merged with westpac, things were more expensive. They also used to take their bank fees out $10.00 per month and then charge a $48.00 dishonour fee. This happened multiple times especially...       Full review

This happened multiple times especially when I was only getting a small amount of money, and they refused to look into it.

      I walked into my local Bank SA branch to review my account as I was receiving account fees I was unaware of, the officer I saw pulled me aside, sat down with me and found a better account which did not charge monthly fees to me. This was a much better suited account and then we went through other accounts which I may be interested in the future. The officer made some notes on my account so when I return to see someone about these accounts I may like to open there is a record of which accounts they were and why I was looking into them.

      Fantastic product. No fees, unlimited transactions. Get your pay paid in and don't pay any fees. There's enough price rises with everything else without having to worry about your bank account as well.       Full review

      Have been with this bank since i first moved here in 2001. Main reason i joined them is that they were the first bank (that i know of) in S.A. that did a Visa Debit card. Coming from England they were very common but over here they were not. The ...       Full review 

      Have been with this bank since i first moved here in 2001. Main reason i joined them is that they were the first bank (that i know of) in S.A. that did a Visa Debit card. Coming from England they were very common but over here they were not. The staff are normally helpful, they have kept me upto date on whether i should change to a different account or not. I also have my car insurances through them and have never found any other company that can come close to their price. So overall i am very happy.

      It's great, no fees if I deposit a certain amount each month (which is covered by my wages), super easy to use - they have an Android app so I can use that instead of telephone banking (which is so quick to use).       Full review

      On line banking is terrific. Trying to get to talk with someone, either at the call centre or at a branch, over the phone, is a nightmare. First you talk to a machine, then wait up to ten minutes for the service consultant. Then, if you haven't ...       Full review 

      On line banking is terrific. Trying to get to talk with someone, either at the call centre or at a branch, over the phone, is a nightmare. First you talk to a machine, then wait up to ten minutes for the service consultant. Then, if you haven't been disconnected, the consultant refers you to the appropriate department. Again you wait up to ten minutes. And again, this is provided you are not cut-off. On average it takes four attempts to talk to the right person in the relative department.
