  The late fee accumulation was not explained properly. I accumulated over $1000 in fees from this lender and the customer service provided no ways of mitigating this.       Full review

  Great home loan for first home buyers. Easy to understand terms and conditions, redraw facility and a really competitive interest rate. Easy to keep track of balance, repayments and transaction history through internet banking. Only had option...       Full review 

  Great home loan for first home buyers. Easy to understand terms and conditions, redraw facility and a really competitive interest rate. Easy to keep track of balance, repayments and transaction history through internet banking. Only had option of monthly repayments but as it allows for direct salary credits I am effectively paying fortnightly which will knock years off the loan in the end. Only downsides are no ability to have an offset account and exit fees.

  cons are that the initial attraction of low interest rate means that you have to put up with with poor customer service and no regular loan statements offered unless requested. Not able to offer prepaid interest for tax       Full review

  We had a building/construction loan through Resi. The office in Adelaide closed down and we were forced to deal with a guy in Sydney over the phone who had no idea what was going on. I had to constantly explain to him how the construction loan worked as I had built a house before. They never paid the correct progress payments to the builder and it was constant stress the entire process. The people that work for Resi do not even understand simple finances. The bank we are with now have made our life so much simpler and have done all the work for us. Their customer service has been 100% better than what Resi were like.

  Over the last six months we have had three interest rate increases above the RBA increases in rates. This has amounted to and extra 0.5% on our loan rate. Further, without warning our local franchise/office closed down and we were not informed for...       Full review 

  Over the last six months we have had three interest rate increases above the RBA increases in rates. This has amounted to and extra 0.5% on our loan rate. Further, without warning our local franchise/office closed down and we were not informed for 2 weeks after the event. Interest rate rises are by letter and occur several days before the letter arrives. A nice touch though is the yearly hand written birthday card (sans flower and chocolates) just to show they love you!
